Fun ... Fun ... Fun ...

I found this really cool idea online that said you could make colored balloon ice...
I figured since it has been colder than cold we would at least have a little fun with that...
So Sophia and I got some food coloring and some balloons.

We started with red water balloons.
put food color in them and filled them with water.
Boy did that make a huge mess in my sink and all over my fingers.
Then we put them in a bowl and hauled them out to the sidewalk.
Kind of funny that they all looked different colors of red and purple with the colored water in them even though we started with all the same color of red balloon.
We let them sit over night to assure they were frozen all the way through.
Then we took the balloons off.
This is what we turned up with. How beautiful. The squirrels have been checking them out. They are a little skittish so when I try to take a picture they run off.
This is how it looked from the front. Such a beautiful rainbow in the middle of winter. We love it!

Glass blown cherry tree at the hospital.
We made snowman cupcakes this week.
Peek a Boo at the Hospital while visiting with GG.
Sophia's TP Boa. I went to the restroom and Sophia got me my tp and then she got some more for herself. She then wrapped it around her neck and paraded around the bathroom. It was so cute... Although she let our this loud shreek when I took it off of her so we could exit the bath room. LOL she is sooooo funny!
Grammy and Sophie reading the door sign for GG's room.
We went to the Hospital cafeteria for lunch one day and Sophia had chocolate ice cream.
Papa and Sophia watching a movie on the couch.
We made chicken Cesar wraps a cooks country recipe. We have been experimenting and trying all kinds of new recipes lately.
Sophia eating her snowman cupcake. I try to save a couple of cupcakes when I am decorating so that my family doesn't complain that I am always making cupcakes for everyone but them.

Although out GG has been in the Hospital for two weeks now we still have had a wonderful week. She is moving out of the Big Hospital today and into a rehabilitation center where they will make sure the pneumonia goes away and that she gets the physical therapy she needs to feel better than the old GG she started out. :)  We are so fortunate that we have her! We are going to go visit and sing I'm a little tea pot for her today! Sophia and Great Grandma both enjoy that so much!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
