The Cat Came Back

Here's the storey...
When I was a little girl growing up I was a Girl Scout. One of our leaders, Fran taught us really fun songs. She played the guitar and sang she was alot of fun.
One day my mom and I were yard saling and we ran across this "Cat"
I bought it and we have been dressing it up in different ways and passing it back and forth.
It really reminds us of this song. Because as you know, or will soon know... The Cat Always comes Back...
It's funny... sometimes I will hear Adam say, " That damn Ugly cat is Back!"
I will be adding pictures of the all cats commings and goings as they occur...

 "The Cat Came Back"
  lyrics....

Now Old Mr. Johnson had problems of his own.
He had a yellow cat that just wouldn't leave his home.
He tried and he tried to give the cat away.
He gave it to a man going far far away....
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

He gave it to a little boy with a dollar note.
He told the boy to take the cat up river on a boat.
The boat turned over and was never found,
And now they drag the river for the little boy who drowned...
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

The man around the corner swore he'd kill the cat on sight.
He loaded up his shotgun full of nails and dynamite.
He waited... and he waited... for the cat to come around
And ninety-seven pieces of the man was all they found...
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

So he gave it to a man going up in a balloon,
He told him for to take it to the man in the moon
The balloon came down about ninty miles away
Where the man is now, well I dare not say
But the cat came back the very next day
the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

So he gave it to a man going way out west
He told him for to take it to the on he loved the best,
first the train hit the track then it jumped a rail,
Not a soul was left behind to tell the gruesome tale.
But the cat came back the very next day
the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

The H-bomb fell the very next day.
The A-bomb fell in the very same way.
Russia went! England went! And then the USA.
The entire human race was left without a chance to pray...
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

Away across the ocean he did send the cat at last,
Vessel out alone today taking water fast,
People all began to pray the boat began to toss,
A great big gust of wind came by and every soul was lost.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

On a telegraph wire, sparrows sitting in a bunch,
The cat was feeling hungry, thought she'd like them for a lunch,
Climb softly up the pole, when she reached the top,
Put her foot in the electric wire, which tied her in a knot.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

Well he took him to the shop where the meat was ground,
And he dropped him in the hopper when the butcher wasn't 'round,
the cat disappeared with a blood-curdling shriek,
All the townfolks meat tasted furry for a week...
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

Well, He took him to Cape Canaveral and they put him in a place,
Shot him in a rocket going way out in space
He finally thought the cat was gone out a' human reach
Till Next day they got a call from Miami Beach
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.

Now the cat was a possessor of a family of his own,
with seven little kittens till there came a big cyclone,
It tore the houses all apart and tossed the cat around,
The air was filled with kittens, but not a one was ever found.
But the cat came back the very next day
the cat came back. They thought he was goner,
But the cat came back. He just wouldn't stay away.
